Pépita's Chocolate & Lavender Cake

This reciuped was made lovingly in Provence by Pépita, a very beautiful and clever little French girl under the tutelage of the lovely Kate from England.

This recipe is Diana Henry's recipe from the March 2015 issue of House & Garden.

The only modification is adding half a teaspoon of chopped lavender, or 1/4 teaspoon of

lavender essential oil to the batter.
