Take a stroll in Maussane to see the olive oil mill where they cold press France's most important extra virgin olive oil, that is sold in gourmet shops around the world. They will ship your olive oil to any destination.
LES BAUX DE PROVENCE
Within 5 minutes by car is a beautiful hillside town with a chateau. This is a functioning village with shops and restaurants, and spectacular views. At the bottom of the town is a very famous Michelin Starred restaurant and hotel; Ousteau de Beaumaniere. This is a spectacular meal in every way.
CHATEAUX ESTOUBLON
Within 5 minutes by car is this beautiful Chateau which sells its very famous olive oils and wines. It has a Bistrot de Mogador with inside and outside seating, it also has an amazing food shop of great Provencale delicacies, and a design boutique of modern Provencale objets d'art, furniture and fashions.
L'ASILE ST. PAUL, THE VAN GOGH ASYLUM
Within 8 minutes is the famous asylum where Van Gogh painted his most famous masterpieces, there you will see the field of Lilly's and Lavender made famous in his paintings, this is a beautiful visit in a beautiful domain.
SAINT REMY DE PROVENCE
Within 10 minutes by car is this town which is the heart of Provence. It is made up of winding streets that wrap around the town. It is full of shops, restaurants, selling all things Provencale. On wednesdays is their amazing market of prdocuce and crafts.
ARLES
Within 15 minutes is Arles, the beautiful town where Vincent Van Gogh lived in 1880's and painted over 300 of his paintings. A walkabout through the town will reveal where some of his paintings were painted. Arles is also where the annual international contemporary photgraphy exhibit takes place every summer; known as Les Rencontres.
AVIGNON
Within 30 minutes, Avignon is the major city with beautiful streets and the annual Avignon Theatre Festival takes place, the whole city hosts hundreds of theatre shows. Avignon is also where the TGV train from Paris drops you off where you can rent a car and drive to Maussane.
APT
Within 40 minutes by car, Apt is famous for it's breath taking lavender fields which bloom every summer. These fields are lush and stunning visit.
AIX EN PROVENCE
Within 40 minutes by car, Aix is considered the main city in the South where many of the Parisians will flock to their summer palaces annually. It is also a very important center for education for international universities. It is a very grand city and offers all the magic of Provence.
CASSIS
Within 70 minutes by car, Cassis is a beautiful seaside town that is an off-shoot of St. Tropez (2.5 hrs). It has the natural wonders called the Callanques which are spectacular limestone fjords around the Mediterranean. The Calanques have secret beaches that you can visit by boat or by land.
MARSEILLE
Within 90 minutes, this is France's second largest city and is a very different flavor than any other place in the South. This is a day trip with many places to see, experience and visit. Lunch at the old port is an experience, famous for it Bouiilabaise a seafood delicacy that is memorable.
ST. TROPEZ
WIthin 2.5 hours is the spectacular St. Tropez, a great place for a day trip, shopping in the luxury boutiques and then spending the afternoon at the world famous beaches made an international sensation by Brigite Bardot.
